Last updated: 26 July 2026

Welcome to Brontosaurus Learning.

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website located at brontosauruslearning.com, including its blog, free-resource library, downloadable teaching resources, subscription materials and links to resources available through external platforms.

By accessing or using this website or downloading a Brontosaurus Learning resource, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or download its resources.

1. About Brontosaurus Learning

This website is operated by:

Brontosaurus Learning
Email: [email protected]
In these terms, “Brontosaurus Learning”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this website.

“You” and “your” refer to visitors, subscribers, purchasers and users of the website or its resources.

2. Permitted use of the website

You may use this website for lawful personal, professional and educational purposes.

You must not:

  • Use the website in a way that breaches any applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its administration systems or subscriber information
  • Introduce malicious software, automated attacks or harmful code
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website
  • Use automated tools to copy or extract substantial amounts of website content
  • Misrepresent your relationship with Brontosaurus Learning
  • Use the website or its content for fraudulent, misleading or unlawful purposes

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, its users, its intellectual property or its security.

3. Website accounts, comments and user content

The website does not currently provide:

  • Public user accounts
  • Member profiles
  • Public comments
  • Public discussion areas
  • User-uploaded resources or content

Information submitted through a contact or subscription form is not published on the website.

If these features are introduced later, these Terms and Conditions will be updated.

4. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content made available through Brontosaurus Learning is owned by or licensed to Brontosaurus Learning.

This includes:

  • Teaching resources
  • Worksheets and activity pages
  • Resource descriptions
  • Illustrations and graphics
  • Photographs and mock-ups
  • Blog articles
  • Website copy
  • Logos and branding
  • Templates
  • Page layouts
  • Downloadable files
  • Resource previews
  • Digital and printable products

This content is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

The availability of content on the website does not transfer ownership of that content to you.

5. Teaching-resource licence

Unless a specific resource states otherwise, Brontosaurus Learning resources are provided under a single-educator classroom licence.

This gives one educator a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the resource for their own teaching practice and with the students they personally teach or support.

You may

Subject to the licence attached to the particular resource, you may:

  • Download and save a personal working copy
  • Print copies for students you personally teach or support
  • Display relevant pages during your own lessons
  • Upload the resource to a secure, access-controlled learning system for your own current students
  • Use the resource for face-to-face, remote or blended teaching
  • Make reasonable accessibility adjustments for your students
  • Use editable elements in the manner intended by the resource
  • Retain a personal backup copy

You may not

Unless you have prior written permission or an appropriate additional licence, you may not:

  • Give or email the digital resource file to another educator
  • Share the resource through a staff-wide or school-wide shared drive
  • Upload the resource to a publicly accessible website or social-media account
  • Upload the resource to a public or unrestricted learning platform
  • Sell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the resource
  • Include the resource in another product or resource pack
  • Claim the resource or its design as your own
  • Remove copyright notices, credits, logos or identifying information
  • Extract illustrations, photographs, graphics or design elements for separate use
  • Use the resource to create a competing commercial product
  • Use the resource as part of a paid tutoring, training or professional-development package unless that use is specifically licensed
  • Share access to a paid resource in place of obtaining additional licences

A school, organisation or teaching team requiring access for more than one educator should obtain the appropriate number of licences or contact Brontosaurus Learning about school licensing.

Where a particular product includes different licence terms, the licence supplied with that product takes priority.

Nothing in this section is intended to remove any right or permission that cannot legally be excluded, including rights available under applicable copyright legislation or an authorised statutory licence. Australian educational institutions may have separate copying rights under the statutory education-licensing system, subject to the requirements of that system.

6. Free resources

Free resources remain the intellectual property of Brontosaurus Learning and are subject to the same single-educator licence unless the resource states otherwise.

“Free” means that no purchase price is charged. It does not mean that the resource is free of copyright or may be redistributed without restriction.

You may download and use free resources with your own students, but you must not:

  • Sell them
  • Republish them
  • Upload them publicly
  • Include them in another resource collection
  • Distribute the original digital files to other educators
  • Claim them as your own work

Please direct colleagues to the Brontosaurus Learning signup or Free Resources page rather than forwarding the files or the private library link.

We may add, remove, update or replace free resources from time to time. We do not guarantee that a particular free resource will remain available indefinitely.

7. Email subscriptions

When you subscribe to the Brontosaurus Learning email list, you may receive:

  • Access to the Free Resource Library
  • Welcome and resource-delivery emails
  • Teaching ideas
  • Resource announcements
  • New free-resource notifications
  • Occasional promotional communications

You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in an email.

Subscription information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent us from replying to an enquiry you have sent or providing information you have specifically requested.

8. Educational information and professional judgement

Brontosaurus Learning resources and blog articles provide general educational information and classroom materials.

They are not a substitute for:

  • A teacher’s professional judgement
  • Individual student assessment
  • Specialist educational advice
  • Medical, psychological or therapeutic advice
  • Legal or regulatory advice
  • The policies of a school, employer or education authority
  • Applicable curriculum, child-safety or accessibility requirements

You are responsible for deciding whether a resource is suitable for:

  • Your students
  • Their ages and abilities
  • Your teaching context
  • Your curriculum requirements
  • Your available equipment
  • Any individual learning or accessibility needs

Resource descriptions, suggested year levels and curriculum references are guides only. Curriculum requirements and terminology may vary between jurisdictions and may change over time.

9. Science activities and practical investigations

Some Brontosaurus Learning resources describe science experiments, demonstrations or practical activities.

Teachers and supervising adults are responsible for:

  • Reviewing the activity before use
  • Conducting an appropriate risk assessment
  • Providing suitable adult supervision
  • Checking student allergies and individual needs
  • Selecting age-appropriate materials
  • Following school and workplace safety procedures
  • Using suitable protective equipment where required
  • Substituting or omitting materials that are unsuitable
  • Preventing ingestion or unsafe handling of materials
  • Complying with relevant laws, policies and manufacturer instructions

Do not undertake an activity where you are not satisfied that it can be conducted safely in your setting.

Results may vary according to materials, equipment, environmental conditions and how an activity is performed.

10. Accuracy and availability

We aim to provide clear, accurate and useful information. However, errors, omissions or outdated information may occasionally occur.

We may correct, update or remove website or resource content without prior notice.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The website will always be available without interruption
  • Every page or download will be free from technical problems
  • Every resource will suit every student or classroom
  • External links will remain available
  • Information will always reflect the latest curriculum or regulatory changes
  • A particular educational result will be achieved

Please contact us if you discover a broken link, file error or material factual mistake.

11. External websites and platforms

This website may contain links to external services, including:

  • Teachers Pay Teachers
  • MailerLite
  • Pinterest or other social platforms
  • External educational websites
  • Future payment or product-delivery services

External websites are controlled by their respective operators. Brontosaurus Learning is not responsible for their availability, security, content or privacy practices.

When you follow an external link, the external provider’s terms, privacy policy and other rules may apply.

12. Purchases through third-party platforms

Some Brontosaurus Learning resources may be purchased through an external marketplace such as Teachers Pay Teachers.

Purchases completed through an external platform may also be subject to that platform’s:

  • Account requirements
  • Payment terms
  • Download and delivery processes
  • Refund procedures
  • Technical-support processes
  • Privacy policy
  • Terms of service

Questions about the educational content or operation of a Brontosaurus Learning resource may be directed to us.

Questions concerning platform accounts, payment processing or platform-specific technical problems may need to be directed to the relevant platform.

These Terms continue to govern the permitted use and licensing of Brontosaurus Learning intellectual property unless the relevant product includes different licence terms.

13. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law.

Consumer guarantees apply automatically to qualifying purchases and cannot be removed by a business’s terms, refund policy or disclaimer. Depending on the circumstances, available remedies may include repair, replacement, refund, cancellation or compensation.

Where a Brontosaurus Learning product or service does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, we will provide the remedy required by law.

Nothing in these terms should be interpreted as a blanket “no refunds” policy.

14. Change-of-mind requests

Unless required by law or provided by the relevant selling platform, Brontosaurus Learning is not required to provide a refund merely because a customer:

  • Changed their mind
  • Purchased the wrong resource
  • No longer requires the resource
  • Did not read the product description
  • Does not have compatible software or equipment that was clearly identified in the description

This does not affect any right to a remedy where a product is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee.

15. Download and technical issues

You are responsible for maintaining:

  • A suitable device
  • A reliable internet connection
  • Software capable of opening the stated file type
  • Adequate storage
  • Suitable printing equipment where printing is required

If you experience a problem downloading or opening a Brontosaurus Learning file, contact us with:

  • The resource name
  • The platform through which it was obtained
  • The file type
  • A description or screenshot of the problem

We will take reasonable steps to help resolve genuine file-delivery or file-access problems.

16. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brontosaurus Learning is not responsible for loss arising solely from:

  • Use of a resource contrary to its instructions or intended purpose
  • Failure to provide appropriate supervision
  • Failure to carry out an appropriate safety assessment
  • Unauthorised copying, sharing or alteration of a resource
  • Incompatibility with equipment or software not identified as supported
  • Reliance on information after it has become outdated
  • The conduct, availability or security of an external website or platform
  • Temporary interruption of the website caused by maintenance, hosting failure or events outside our reasonable control

Nothing in this section excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

17. Privacy

Personal information collected through this website is handled according to the Brontosaurus Learning Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy should be read together with these Terms and Conditions.

18. Breach of these terms

Where we reasonably believe that these terms or a resource licence have been breached, we may:

  • Ask you to stop the unauthorised use
  • Ask you to remove an unauthorised copy
  • Restrict access to resources or website services
  • Cancel access where legally permitted
  • Seek payment for licences that should reasonably have been purchased
  • Take other reasonable steps to protect our intellectual property or legal rights

Any action taken will be subject to applicable law and consumer rights.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when:

  • Website services change
  • New resources or delivery methods are introduced
  • We begin selling directly through the website
  • Licensing arrangements change
  • External service providers change
  • Legal or regulatory requirements change

The current version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.

Changes will apply from the date the revised terms are published, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be read down or removed to the minimum extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

21. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth laws.

You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of New South Wales and Australia, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
